The proposed amendments would make it unlawful to set any gill net in Toms Cove parallel to the beach or closer than 500 feet from any other gill net, from April 1 through May 31, and prohibit any gill net from being set, from sunset to sunrise, from June 1 through June 30. The purpose of the proposed amendments is to account for variation in harvesting practices among user groups.
