Felicia Carmichael joined VMRC's Human Resources Department in January 2021, as the Director of Human Resources Diversity and Inclusion. Felicia's HR experience includes working in the local government, non-profit, for-profit and state agencies. She has been a HR Professional for over 10 years, and has been a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) for the last 8 years. Felicia has a Master's of Science degree in Public Administration (MPA) with a concentration in HR Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Operations.
Felicia has been on a consultant on best HR practices for maintaining compliance with federal, state and local guidelines. She's worked on HR Projects that focused on Strategic Planning, HR Development, Diversity and Inclusion, Total Compensation Management and Workforce Planning.
Felicia is a native of Virginia by way of Southampton County. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to contemporary jazz, watching movies, sitting on the beach, spending time with her family and connecting with her church-family.
