On March 1st 2021, The Virginia Marine Resources Commission (VMRC) hired Jacob "Jake" Guy as a Marine Police Officer for the Eastern Shore. Jake comes to the Marine Police Division from the Accomack County Sheriff's Office where he was assigned as a Jailer. He will attend the Hampton Roads Criminal Justice Training Academy (HRCJTA) to obtain the Basic Law Enforcement Certification. Jake was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. He graduated from Nandua High School and received an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice from Bryant & Stratton College. On Jake's off time he enjoys being with his wife and two year old son, hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities.
