This reef is located approximately 4 1/2 nautical miles east of Buckroe Beach and the entrance to Saltponds.

Site construction began in November of 2007 with a deployment of 1,000 tons of concrete pipe donated by Hanson Pipe Company (pictured above). Deployment of the pipe was funded with saltwater fishing license revenue.

The center of this reef is marked with a yellow VMRC buoy designated "BF".
